A Message From Mrs. Stroud

Dear Elementary Families,

As we enter December, we have an exciting month ahead with mid-year benchmark testing, winter activities, and other fun events during the 12 1/2 days we’ll be in school. We hope everyone stays healthy and finishes the semester strong!

Mid-term grades were posted last week, so be sure to check the parent portal to see your child’s current progress. Below you will find a copy of an email that was sent last week describing the steps to check grades.

Wishing you all a wonderful and successful month!

Warm regards,
Tamara Stroud Elementary Principal #ArchieStrong

Greetings Archie Elementary Families,

We are excited to let you know that you will be able to  see progress reports, report cards, and other grade-related information in your Infinite Campus Parent Portal.  If you haven’t had the opportunity to set up your portal, please contact:  Lori Macrander at lmacrander@archie.k12.mo.us.

Progress reports and report cards will no longer be emailed since it is not an option on Infinite Campus.

To view report cards at Progress (midterm) and Quarter,  go to the LEFT hand menu under the “Infinite Campus” logo.

  • Click on→ Documents.

  • From there click on Report Card; this will show the most recently posted grade.

  • To see the most current grades and assignments, always look in Grades.

I encourage you to check your parent portal frequently so you are up to date on grades and progress.

Alternative Method of Instruction (AMI) packets have been place in your student's backpacks/folders. These should stay in student folders until the time we should need them.

Here is a reminder of the information shared on our 2024-2025 Archie R-V Calendar regarding inclement weather and AMI days.

"Inclement weather days or school closure days will be made up on 1/13, 2/10, 3/3, 3/31, 4/28, and 5/5. Alternative Method of Instruction(AMI virtual) days will be used at the discretion of administration. AMI days may be used earlier in the event of an extended closure."

heart with compassion

The #ArchieStrong character trait for December is COMPASSION.

Dear Families,

As part of our ongoing efforts to foster a compassionate and supportive environment for all students, I would like to share some simple but impactful ways we can all encourage compassion within our school community. Compassion is essential in creating a space where everyone feels respected, valued, and understood.

Here are some suggestions for how students can show compassion:

  • Actively listen to others when they speak, showing respect for their thoughts and feelings.

  • Offer positive encouragement to classmates, boosting their confidence and well-being.

  • Be mindful of others’ feelings, showing kindness in both words and actions.

  • Include students who might be sitting alone or feeling left out, helping them feel connected.

  • Offer help when you see a peer in need, whether it’s academic or emotional support.

  • Acknowledge kindness when you see it in others, reinforcing positive behaviors.

  • Practice forgiveness and work toward resolving conflicts in a peaceful way.

  • Speak with respect to all members of the school community, promoting an atmosphere of kindness.

We encourage students to take small but meaningful actions to demonstrate compassion:

  • Sit with someone who is alone or invite them to join you.

  • Encourage a classmate who may be struggling or in need of a kind word.

  • Apologize if your words or actions have hurt someone, and make efforts to repair relationships.

  • Do a kind act for someone at school, whether it’s another student, a teacher, or a staff member.

By teaching our children to show empathy and understanding, we can help cultivate a school environment where everyone feels supported and cared for. I encourage families to talk about these ideas with their children and help reinforce the importance of compassion both at school and at home.

Thank you for your continued support in making our school a positive and nurturing place for all. #ArchieStrong
