Dear Elementary Families,
We are so thankful for a fairly mild winter that has allowed us to maximize our learning days! It’s hard to believe we are well into the second semester already, with lots of important learning still ahead. Spring break is next week, and we encourage families and students to use this time to rest, recharge, and gear up for end-of-year activities, MAP testing, and the many exciting learning opportunities still to come. Kindergarten screenings will take place on March 16th. If you have an incoming kindergarten student, please call the office as soon as possible to schedule your screening appointment.
Be sure to check out the information about the on-site daycare opening. We are hopeful that Kidz, Inc. will open at Archie R-V sometime in April. This will be a tremendous benefit to our students, our school, and our community, especially as we are located in a daycare desert. You’ll also find information regarding our upcoming bond issue on the April ballot, along with school board member elections.
Have a wonderful March! #ArchieStrong Mrs. Stroud Elementary Principal |

| Character Trait of the Month: Teamwork |
Whirlwind families-
The character word for March is TEAMWORK. Teamwork helps children learn how to listen, share, and solve problems together. When kids work as part of a team, whether in the classroom, in sports, or at home, they build confidence, empathy, and respect for others. Encouraging teamwork teaches them that success isn’t just about individual achievement, but about supporting one another and working toward a common goal.
The 5th-grade Leadership Group will demonstrate “teamwork” by hosting a fundraiser to help fight cancer. Be looking for more information about teaming up against cancer.
Warm wishes- Carolyn Johnston, PK-12th Grade Counselor cjohnston@archie.k12.mo.us

The upcoming ballot in April includes a proposal related to the Archie R-V School District. Voters will be asked whether to approve a bond issue that would fund improvements to school facilities without increasing the current tax rate. If approved, the bond would provide money for building upgrades, repairs, and other facility needs to support students, staff, and community use of the schools. The vote simply determines whether the district can use bond funding, at the existing tax level, to move forward with these improvements.
Improvements include: - Soffit and roof repairs - HVAC automation Air quality improvements- abatement & remediation - Windows and doors |

KIDZ Inc. is coming to the Archie R-V School District this spring! We are excited to share that our facility is expected to open in April. Enrollment is now open for the remainder of the current school year, summer programming, and the upcoming school year.
Spots are limited, so don’t wait to sign up and miss your opportunity! The enrollment form includes a section for questions, and the KIDZ Inc. team will respond as soon as possible. Once the facility is open, KIDZ Inc. will apply for state subsidies that could decrease or cover the cost of daycare for qualifying families.
This partnership is designed to provide a safe, convenient childcare option for your child and family. We look forward to serving the Archie community! Scan Below or Click on This Link: KIDZ Inc. Enrollment |

| We ask that families take a moment to review the updated handbook. Notable additions include the state-mandated cell phone policy, updated dress code guidelines, lunch guidelines, and changes to staffing. The 2025–2026 calendar and events tab will help you schedule doctors’ appointments, plan vacations, and organize childcare needs. |
