Message from Mrs. Stroud

Dear Elementary Families,

We are officially on the home stretch with just 11.5 days left in the school year! These final days are packed with important and exciting activities, including MAP testing, end-of-year benchmarking, field trips, celebrations, Field Day, Meet Your Teacher, and much more.

As we finish strong, we appreciate your help in keeping routines consistent—regular bedtimes, a healthy breakfast, and staying on top of homework help students make the most of these last days.

You may notice or hear from your child that classrooms are starting to look different as teachers begin packing. This is directly connected to the bond passed in April—all elementary classrooms must be fully packed and cleared out by the end of the year so that construction, replacements, and repairs can begin immediately once school is out. While things may look a little different, please know that there is still meaningful learning happening every day.

Because of this work, summer school will take place in the middle and high school wings.

We also want to extend a sincere thank you for your support of the bond, which allows us to maintain and improve our school facilities and keep them in great condition for our students and staff.

Thank you for being such an important part of our Archie community!

Thank you, Archie Community!

We are incredibly grateful for your support in voting to approve the bond issue this April. Your commitment to our schools ensures we can continue making important improvements to our facilities—supporting our students, staff, and the entire community—without increasing the current tax rate.

As work begins, we encourage you to watch for updates throughout the summer as we share progress on these exciting improvements.

Thank you for investing in the future of Archie R-V!

Improvements include:

- Soffit and roof repairs

-Air quality improvements- abatement/asbestos removal & remediation/mold removal

- Window and door replacement as needed

- HVAC automation

KIDZ Inc. is coming to the Archie R-V School District this spring!

We are excited to share that our facility is expected to open in June. Enrollment is now open for summer programming and the upcoming school year—special fees for students who attend the Archie preschool program.

Spots are limited, so don’t wait to sign up and miss your opportunity! The enrollment form includes a section for questions, and the KIDZ Inc. team will respond as soon as possible.

Once the facility is open, KIDZ Inc. will apply for state subsidies that could decrease or cover the cost of daycare for qualifying families.

This partnership is designed to provide a safe, convenient childcare option for your child and family. We look forward to serving the Archie community!

You Matter Archie

You Matter Archie always brings a smile to our faces! Students and staff enjoyed these fun pens and a special greeting from our YMA friends!

Perseverance-Students of the Month for April

Bottom Left: The Whirlwind Buck winners for April received a gift certificate for a free donut at Archie Casey’s! Students earn Whirlwind Bucks in specials, Title I, and at lunch. All bucks are entered into a drawing at the end of each month, and five winners are selected to receive this special treat.

Bottom Left Center: April birthdays were recognized with a special treat from You Matter Archie while the student body sang to them!

Bottom Right Center:  Perseverance isn’t always easy—it’s something many of us struggle with when challenges arise, and giving up feels like the easier choice. That’s what makes it so meaningful to celebrate!  These Students of the Month were recognized for their perseverance—for continuing to work hard even when things were difficult, and for showing the grit and determination to keep growing. Their efforts remind us that success isn’t about never struggling, but about pushing through and staying committed. #ArchieStrong

Bottom Right: Peyton, Kasey, Chance and Avery are part of the 5th Grade Leadership Team this semester.  They helped Mrs.Johnston with fundraisers for fellow students and for scholarships this month.
