Message from Mr. Schulte:

As we move into April and May, our students will be participating in End-of-Course (EOC) exams and MAP standardized testing. These assessments are an important measure of student learning and growth, as well as a reflection of the hard work taking place in our classrooms daily

While we recognize that a single test does not define a student or a teachers instruction, these assessments do provide valuable data that helps us evaluate our school, identifying areas of strength, and target opportunities for improvement. They give our students a chance to demonstrate what they have learned and take pride in their academic progress.

We encourage all students to approach testing with a positive mindset, to give their best effort, and to take the process seriously. Families can support their students by ensuring they get a good night’s rest, eat a healthy breakfast, arrive at school on time, and have their Chromebooks fully charged the night before each testing day.

We are confident in our students and appreciate the continued support of our families and staff as we work together to help every student succeed.

Mr. Schulte

The upcoming ballot in April includes a proposal related to the Archie R-V School District. Voters will be asked whether to approve a bond issue that would fund improvements to school facilities without increasing the current tax rate. If approved, the bond would provide money for building upgrades, repairs, and other facility needs to support students, staff, and community use of the schools. The vote simply determines whether the district can use bond funding, at the existing tax level, to move forward with these improvements.

Improvements include:

- Soffit and roof repairs

-Air quality improvements- abatement/asbestos removal & remediation/mold removal

- Window and door replacement as needed

- HVAC automation

Important Information for Seniors

Scholarships-When submitting scholarship applications, please keep the following in mind:  Only turn in applications that are fully complete and include all required materials (e.g., transcript, essay, teacher recommendations, etc.). If you would like the school to mail your application on your behalf, be sure to submit all materials to Angela at least three days prior to the deadline.

Incomplete application packets may cause delays and could result in your application not arriving in time for consideration.

Make sure you check out the Archie Scholarship List- Comprehensive Scholarship List- check here for local scholarships. This is a working document that is updated when information is provided.

Seniors planning to use A+-

Don’t miss these two important requirements.  Many students forget to submit their FAFSA Submission Summary to Academic Services, and some do not meet the required math benchmark (either scoring Proficient or Advanced on a math EOC or earning the minimum ACT Math score).

Don’t let either of these stand in the way of earning money to help pay for tuition!

This year cords will be awarded to seniors to wear at graduation who demonstrate their financial aid readiness, by completing the FAFSA.  To receive these cords, students must submit their FAFSA submission summary to Mrs. Mell.

Transcripts

If you need a transcript, please complete a Transcript Request Form. Paper copies are available in Academic Services, or you may use the online form linked below.  Please note, we do not accept transcript requests by email. All requests must be made using the transcript request form. Your unofficial transcript can be found in the Infinite Campus parent and student portal under documents.

If you choose the online form, please be sure to use your personal email address.

A+ Information

A+

If you need updates on your A+ hours and other eligibility requirements, please contact Angela in Academic Services.  A few eligibility reminders for A+ :

-Overall unweighted grade point average of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale

-Have at least a 95% attendance record overall for grades 9-12, which usually equates to approximately no more than 30 days missed over four years

-Perform at least 50 hours of unpaid tutoring or mentoring in the Archie School District

-Maintain a record of good citizenship (no OSS/ISS) and avoid the unlawful use of drugs and/or alcohol while in grades 9-12

-Have achieved a score of proficient or advanced on the Algebra I end of course exam or a higher level DESE approved end-of-course exam in the field of mathematics or reach a designated score on ACT math.

-Make a good faith estimate to secure federal grants by completing the FAFSA.  In order to be eligible for A+ on your transcript and to be recognized at graduation, you must submit your FAFSA submission summary to Academic Services.  Get this done as soon as possible.

Students can begin working toward their A+ hours at any time by adding it to their schedule. While many students choose to start during their junior year, you’re welcome to begin earlier if it fits your plan.

March Students of the Month!

This month, we are proud to recognize our Middle School and High School Students of the Month, Kendall Hunt and Moheya Charles for exemplifying the character trait of teamwork. These students consistently demonstrate what it means to collaborate, support their peers, and contribute to a positive and productive environment. Whether in the classroom or in activities, they lead by example through encouraging others, sharing responsibility, and working toward common goals. Their willingness to put the success of the group above themselves reflects outstanding character and helps strengthen our school community. Congratulations to both students on this well-deserved recognition! #ArchieStrong

We would like to extend our sincere congratulations to the following students for achieving perfect attendance through the first three quarters of the school year. This accomplishment reflects an outstanding level of commitment, responsibility, and perseverance. Showing up each day, ready to learn, plays a critical role in academic success and sets a strong example for others.

We are proud of these students for their dedication and consistency, and we appreciate the support from families in helping make daily attendance a priority. Keep up the great work as we finish the school year strong!

We encourage you to regularly monitor your student’s grades and assignments through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. This tool allows you to view grades and identify any missing work. If you are unable to access Infinite Campus, please see the instructions provided below or contact our front office for assistance.
