A Message From Mr. Schulte

Dear Whirlwind Families and Patrons,

I hope this letter finds you well! As we look to begin the new school year, I hope everyone enjoyed their summer and were able to spend some quality time with each other by staying busy with activities or relaxing on a vacation or at home! I was able to take a rare family vacation to Charleston, SC and enjoyed the trip tremendously!

It is my privilege to welcome you back for what promises to be a wonderful year of learning and growth for all. As I begin my second year as your principal, I greatly appreciate the opportunity to work with our staff, students, families, and the Archie Community to build on the foundations established over the years and continue to create an environment where every student can find success.

Over the past year, I have had the pleasure to reacquaint or get to know many of you and see some incredible talents and strengths in our students. Our dedicated teachers and staff have been working to prepare for the new school year, ensuring that we continue to provide a quality education that meets the needs of all students. Our outstanding maintenance staff has been busy getting the building ready for the school year! Big thanks to them for all of their hard work!

Communication and collaboration with families are vital to our success. I encourage you to stay connected with us through our various communication channels, including our school app (see below), school website, newsletters, and social media. Please feel free to reach out to me or any of our staff members if you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions. Your partnership is invaluable as we work together to support our students.

For those of you who are not aware I am excited Mr. Matt McIntire will be joining the Archie MS/HS as the new Assistant Principal/Athletic Director! With an impressive tenure as a longtime FFA advisor and agricultural teacher for Archie, Mr. McIntire has made significant contributions to both the academic and personal growth of numerous students. He has been instrumental in leading various student activities, promoting leadership, and encouraging community involvement. In his new role as Assistant Principal/Athletic Director, Mr. McIntire will continue to support and guide our students, ensuring a positive and enriching school experience. His vision and leadership will be vital in enhancing our athletic programs and fostering a sense of school spirit and pride.

Archie R-V App

The Archie R-V app will continue to provide families and the community with event updates, current events, and other important information.

One of the enhancements to the app is the use of ROOMS. This will be replacing Remind. Why make the change?

Infinite Campus

The Archie R-V School District previously used the Tyler Student Information System (SIS); however, due to company changes, we were required to change systems. Many of you have completed on-line registration on our new system, Infinite Campus. A BIG shout out to Mrs. Becky Deardorff and Mrs. Michelle Mell for their leadership throughout this transition.

We ask that you have patience and understanding throughout this school year as ALL staff and families will be navigating this new system. Our administrative assistants will do their best to answer your questions or get back to you with an answer as soon as possible. Again, thank you for your patience.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Online registration is now open for returning and new students. Returning Students Link The deadline to register for returning students is Friday, August 9th.

Once you have completed your registration, please take the time to set up your parent portal account and fill out the Free or Reduced Meal Application. You should have received your Activation Key in an email on August 1st. Parent Portal Link

School Supply Drive and Giveaway

The Archie Methodist Church and Adrian Bank-Archie Branch have been partnering for 16 years to collect school supplies for Archie students in need. Drop off supplies at the bank anytime before August 13, 2024.

The school supply giveaway will be held at the Methodist Church on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, from 6:00-7:00 p.m.
