Dear Whirlwind Families and Patrons,
Welcome back to another school year! As your middle/high school principal, I am excited to see our halls will once again soon be filled with students and staff. We are committed to providing a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment where every student can achieve success.
This year, we are pleased to introduce several new members to our dedicated teaching staff. Ms. Aisha Ford will be joining us to teach high school math, stepping into the role after Mrs. Crumpley’s retirement. Additionally, Mrs. Jillian Kupronis will be teaching high school science, filling the position after Ms. Stroyan moved back to Kansas to be closer to her fiancé. We are confident that both Ms. Ford and Mrs. Kupronis will be a great additions to our staff..
We are also welcoming Ms. Daria Bennett to our middle school team. She will be teaching 6th grade, replacing Mrs. Randol, who also retired. Ms. Bennett is moving from 3rd grade where she taught last year. We are grateful for her to make the move and we are she will make a positive impact on our students.
On a different note, I want to inform everyone about a new policy pursuant to Senate Bill 68, which is now in effect. Starting at the beginning of the school day and continuing through the end of the school day, cell phones are banned from all Missouri Public Schools. This is designed to help students be less distracted, stay focused on their lessons, and foster a more attentive learning environment.
Parents may contact the front office to leave messages for their children. We encourage everyone to familiarize themselves with the student handbook, which you can find via the link provided(MS/HS Student Handbook). Reviewing this document will help keep families informed about our policies and procedures.
Additionally, I want to thank those of you who have already registered your children for the upcoming school year. Your efforts are an important part of preparing for the new year and provide families with the opportunity to update contact information and review essential information.
Please mark your calendars: Back to School Night will be held on Monday, August 18th. We look forward to seeing you there!
Thank you for your continued support. Let’s work together to make this school year the best one yet!
Mr. Schulte
