AMI (Alternative Method of Instruction) Days
In the event of a school closure, our district may utilize AMI (Alternative Method of Instruction) days, allowing students to continue learning virtually. Schools can use up to five AMI days each year. While we prioritize face-to-face instruction, AMI days help maintain academic progress when in-person learning isn't possible.
Key Points for Students on AMI Days:
Follow the early release schedule
Join each class via Google Meet at the scheduled time, dressed appropriately and in a proper location.
Keep cameras on and microphones muted unless instructed otherwise.
Attendance is taken during each class period.
Teachers provide direct instruction and post assignments on Google Classroom.
If internet issues arise, students must email teachers and complete assignments upon returning to school.
Key Points for Teachers on AMI Days:
Teachers host Google Meet sessions for each class, provide instruction, and post assignments on Google Classroom.
Sessions last approximately 15-20 minutes, with remaining time for questions or independent work.
Teachers take attendance and follow the early release schedule, including plan periods.
