September MS/HS Newsletter

A Message From Mr. Schulte

Dear Whirlwind Patrons,

As we enter the second month of the school year, I want to express my appreciation for everyone’s support in enforcing our school policies, particularly the cell phone and closed lunch policies. Your cooperation ensures a focused and respectful learning environment for all.

A quick reminder to parents: please call the office if your student is absent due to illness,  appointments, or other reasons. Also, it’s crucial for students to arrive with their Chromebooks charged and ready for the day ahead to ensure proper instruction and learning. Consistent attendance and preparation are key to a successful school year.

Thank you again for your continued support!

Sincerely,

Troy Schulte

Archie R-V App

app

The Archie R-V app will continue to provide families and the community with event updates, current events, and other important information.

One of the enhancements to the app is the use of ROOMS. This will be replacing Remind. Why make the change?

  • All communication is through one app

  • Notifications available via text, email or app

  • Receive updates from teachers

  • No code needed

  • Maintain open communication with teachers about your child(ren)

Infinite Campus

The Archie R-V School District previously used the Tyler Student Information System (SIS); however, due to company changes, we were required to change systems. Many of you have completed on-line registration on our new system, Infinite Campus. A BIG shout out to Mrs. Becky Deardorff and Mrs. Michelle Mell for their leadership throughout this transition.

We ask that you have patience and understanding throughout this school year as ALL staff and families will be navigating this new system. Our administrative assistants will do their best to answer your questions or get back to you with an answer as soon as possible. Again, thank you for your patience.

Counselor's Corner

Mrs. Johnston

Responsibiliy

Hello!

My name is Mrs. Johnston. I have introduced myself to many of you, but I wanted to take this opportunity to share a little bit more about my role here at Archie.

I am the preschool-12th grade counselor at Archie. I work hand in hand with the administrators, teachers, the Compass Health school-based therapist and families to help meet students needs.

I can help with individual needs, connect families to resources and assist families in crisis. Feel free to contact me with any questions and I will do my best to connect you to the right person.

The character trait for September will be RESPONSIBILITY. Students will be learning about showing responsibility by doing their work, making good choices, being dependable and taking accountability for their actions. The students have many opportunities during the day to show responsibility. We can help our kids at home by giving them small tasks to do, sharing, learning to take turns, etc.

We are excited to watch as students learn to show responsibility at school, home and in the community!

Thank you!

Mrs. Johnston

At this point in order to be ready when it opens, students and parents can create their FSA ID. Use this guide created by uAspire when you are ready to get started- FSA ID How To. A great website to help you stay on top of all things FAFSA® is - Journey to College

Any senior planning to use A+ scholarship money must apply for FAFSA®.

More information will be provided closer to the opening of the form for the 2025-26 academic year. That date has not yet been released.

Please reach out if I can help you with this.
